I found it interesting that this PBN article gives a more positive outlook on Hawaii’s economic turnaround compared to this Honolulu Star Bulletin article. The PBN article says Hawaii should be seeing a economic recovery in 2010. But the Honolulu Star Bulletin says it will not happen until 2011. All I know is we are in for a very rough ride for the foreseeable future. Especially if tourism arrivals and unemployment claims continue to decrease and increase.
On a unrelated note, this week has been very strange. Especially after the HTH exposed the allegedly discarded Hawaii County DPW directive blackballing me,and two other local bloggers. This revelation was initially very frustrating to me. However I’ve taken it in stride. It has greatly increased my blog’s visibility.
Lastly, this activated carbon plant proposed to be built up in Kawaihae sounds like a promising venture. They are planning on converting discarded Macadamia Nut husks into active carbon. Which in turn can be turned into filtration devices.

Glad you got more exposure. I seem to have gained more “haters”.
When will people realize that were just normal folks with a hobby that people are interested in?
We need to submit formal request for directive to Warren Lee, I believe.
You want to push the button… or should I?
One of the three of us mentioned in that HT article needs to get a copy of that directive to see exactly what it says.
