The Clock Is Ticking For Sandwich Isles Communications And Paniolo Cable Company

The National Park Service has petitioned the LUC to allow Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park to intervene in O’oma Beachside Village’s Hawaii Land Use Commision reclassification petition.

I think this great news that the National Park Service has decided to take this action. It is my firm belief that the O’oma area should not be developed due to its proximity to NELHA and Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park.

Sandwich Isles Communications has been unable thus far to get the FCC to reverse the recent NECA decision to deny operating subsidies for SIC’s new inter island fiber-optic network.

The clock is ticking for SIC to get this resolved. The next debt service payment is due on February 20th, 2010. It won’t surprise me if Sandwich Isles Communications and Paniolo Cable Company  have to file for bankruptcy within the next month if the NECA decision still has not been reversed.
